Managed by Seattle Foundation, the COVID-19 Response Fund makes grants to community-based organizations that are working on the frontlines to support our region’s most vulnerable communities.

The first round of rapid-response grants prioritized our region’s most vulnerable populations—those who have been affected first and hardest by the coronavirus crisis. The Fund intially distributed more than $10M to 128 nonprofits, augmenting with an additional $850K in April.  These grants providee resources to frontline organizations who are delivering emergency assistance, such as rent support, food security, healthcare, and childcare.

Phase 2 grants will continue to focus on community-based organizations supporting vulnerable workers and families—people who face longstanding economic and racial inequities that have been made worse by the current crisis. Totaling $6,000,000, three distinct tracks of funding will support childcaremental and behavioral healthvà emergency financial assistance.  Funding criteria and eligibility for these areas are available on the site, however some of the tracks do not have open applications available.
