The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce is the largest and most diverse business association in the region. Founded in 1882 by local business leaders, the Chamber today is an independent organization representing 2,600 companies and a regional workforce of approximately 750,000.

The Executive Speaker Series showcases the many economic sectors that are vital to the stability and growth of the Seattle metropolitan region. Each event focuses on a unique industry and features top business leaders who discuss the successes, challenges, and opportunities ahead for their sector.

Arts and cultural organizations in our region have been hard hit by the economic impacts of COVID-19, since they have been unable to safely perform or gather patrons in their spaces. At the start of the pandemic in March, unemployment claims in the arts and culture sector increased by over 2,000%, and it is estimated that our local organizations will lose tens of millions of dollars this year. But there is hope ahead, with updated guidance for museum openings and virtual options from arts organizations that are getting creative around their upcoming seasons.
