Gender Podcast

Gender Reveal is a podcast for nonbinary folks, for people who don’t know what “nonbinary” means, and everyone in between.

Created by journalist and educator Tuck Woodstock, Gender Reveal amplifies the stories of trans and nonbinary folks. The show also serves as a free educational tool for people seeking to learn more about gender. We even made an entire episode (Gender 101) that explains terminology like cisgender, TERF, and genderqueer.

Join us every Monday as we interview trans artists and activists, answer listener questions, analyze current events, and get a little bit closer to understanding what the heck gender is.

Gender Reveal (genderpodcast.com) will be awarding ten $400 grants to artists and activists who are Black and/or Indigenous AND trans and/or two-spirit. Deadline October 31, 2020.
Gender Reveal (genderpodcast.com) will be awarding ten $400 grants to artists and activists who are Black and/or Indigenous AND trans and/or two-spirit. We are specifically looking for applicants whose work supports Black or Indigenous folks, trans folks, or other marginalized communities, and/or whose work fosters exploration and celebration of gender diversity.

In addition, we will be awarding at least 40 $100 mutual aid payments to trans and/or two-spirit folks who are Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color. These payments are need-based. Applicants do not need to pitch a specific project to be considered.

THIS IS THE GRANT APPLICATION FORM. The mutual aid application form is at bit.ly/GR20aid.

Participants of all ages, locations, and backgrounds are welcome to apply. For our purposes, “trans” includes, but is not limited to, nonbinary, genderqueer, transgender, transexual, agender, genderfluid, and two-spirit identities. Anyone who isn’t cisgender is welcome to apply.

Applications must be received by 11:59 pm (PT) on October 31, 2020. [Spooky!] Grant recipients will be chosen by a panel of BIPOC trans judges. Winners will be announced by Jan 1, 2021. Please send questions to gendereveal[@]gmail[dot]com.

This grant is funded entirely by donations and the Gender Reveal patreon! Join us at patreon.com/gender. If you would like to sponsor an additional grant, please send funds via Cash App ($TuckWoodstock) or Venmo (@Tuck-Woodstock).
